GitHub published the rust-v0.163.0-alpha.6 pre-release for the Codex repository on 10 October 2026.[^1]

One day prior, GitHub shipped production CodeQL version 2.27.2.[^2]

This CodeQL update adds a C++ regular expression parser and general analysis improvements across multiple programming languages. Support for Go websocket scanning was extended to cover the github.com/coder/websocket import path, in addition to the existing nhooyr.io/websocket implementation.[^3]

New SQL injection sink models were added for the Comdb2 C API. The release also includes flow summaries for Bloomberg BDE codecs and byte-stream deserializers.[^4]
