OpenAI launched more than 20 products at its DevDay event this week, across two days of public filings.[^5]

The releases include GPT-6.1 Sol, launched as a lower cost alternative to the flagship GPT-6 Astra model.[^2]

New capabilities were also announced for the Codex software engineering agent.[^1] A pre-release build of Codex version 0.161.0-alpha.5 was published to GitHub on 30 September.[^4]

Also unveiled were the Dots autonomous agent, ChatGPT Spaces, Decisions API, Codex Security Cloud, Agents API with Computer Use, and the OpenAI Marketplace.[^6] Codex Security Cloud is designed to scan GitHub repositories for security vulnerabilities and draft fixes.[^8]

OpenAI states Dots can run background professional tasks including user feedback monitoring, software bugfix preparation and research data processing, when operating correctly.[^3]

A separate cloud MCP server was announced to connect compatible AI assistants to Webull market intelligence and account tools without requiring programming work, credentials or local installation.[^7]
